Scott Randol
I came here
by accident...only God knows how I
graduated!
In the
Summer of 1999, while in the process of
leaving the Army after 14 yrs of
service, I was looking for someplace in
the local area where I could pursue
training to equip me to become a better
pastor. My pastor lived next door to
Bill Austel who was attending NBS at the
time and picked up a brochure for me.
After
applying and subsequent interviews, I
decided that NBS was where I wanted to
study. I knew that NBS would provide
solid, biblical training in not only
theology but practical areas as well,
like Pastoral Care and counseling.
What I
didn't realize was how NBS would help me
take theology and put feet to it; to
understand that everyone is a theologian
because our theology ought to inform how
we live and the decisions we make.
Since
graduating I have moved to
Southern Oregon to plant a church. I
have been striving to build a church
community that understands that "church"
is not a club we belong to that has
meetings Sunday mornings but is a
community to which we belong 24/7; a
community much larger than our local
gatherings; a community that brings hope
to a dying world.
The
pictures of are our first baptism... my
stepdaughter, Lindsey!!!
